BUDGAM: Following JRL (Joint Resistance Leadership) call to lit candles and torchlights after evening prayers during the week to highlight human rights abuses, Anjuman-e-Sharie-Shian members on Thursday evening held a candlelight protest against human rights violations in Magam town in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Scores of members assembled at main taxi stand and staged a candle light protest.
Holding placards reading “stop human Rights Violations in Kashmir “, “Stop Genocide”, the protestors raised slogans against the “brutal forces” in Valley.
They said innocent killings, snatching eyesight were nothing but gross human rights violations.
“We will continue our protest against this barbaric act of Indian oppression till it won’t come to an end,” they said.
