SRINAGAR: Peoples Conference chief Sajad Lone on Sunday opposed “structural changes” to J&K Bank and PRC.
Last week Governor Satya Pal Malik-led State Advisory Council took slew of decisions such as treating J&K Bank as PSU and is mulling to make changes in procedure for granting permanent resident certificates (PRC) to people. The governor’s administration dashed a communication to the financial commissioner revenue, divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners seeking their comments and suggestions in changing the procedure.
“The governor administration needs to restrict itself to basic governance. No structural changes pertaining to PRC or J K Bank are acceptable,” tweeted Lone, “Restrict your energies to what u r mandated to do— which incidentally u r not doing. Please don’t invent new problems.”
