Baramulla: The employees of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Friday staged a protest in Baramulla against the government decision to turn the bank into a public sector undertaking (PSU).
The employees assembled at Zonal head office of the bank at Amargrah Sopore on Friday morning to protest the recent decision of the Governor’s administration. Carrying placards shouting slogans against the government decision, the employees threatened to go on an indefinite strike if the decision to turn the bank into a PSU is not rolled back.
“Roll back, roll back, SAC decision, roll back” the employees shouted.
Former president of the All India J&K bank Officers Association, Altaf Ahmad Wani said that the employees of the bank, its share holders and general public are against the government decision, and want it to be revoked.
