SRINAGAR: Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar on Friday organised Rehmatal-lil-Aalameen Conference at the historic grand mosque before the congregational prayers in which renowned religious scholars participated.
A statement issued here said the conference was presided over by the Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema patron Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Many children recited Naat on the occasion.
In his presidential address, Mirwaiz said that people need to imbibe the way of living of the great and revered Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and follow His footsteps in every sphere of our life both at individual and collective level.
The only way to pull ourselves out from the enormous issues we are confronted with is to follow the teachings of the Prophet (SAW) in letter and spirit, he said.
Mirwaiz said Muslims need to come together and collectively solve their internal problems rather than be divided and hostile to each other working at the behest of Western powers.
Religious scholar Mufti Abdur Rashid Miftahi of Darul Uloom Bilaliya on the occasion asked Muslims to follow the path of the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Renowned Naat Khwaan Ghulam Hassan Gamgeen, Mir Shabir Ahmad, Muhamamd Asif and Adil recited a series of Naat in Kashmiri and Urdu. Moulana M S Rehman Shams moderated the conference.
