SRINAGAR: Muslim League (ML) Jammu and Kashmir has paid tributes to two slain militants who were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Khrew area of Pampore on Thursday.

A League spokesperson in a statement said that Mohammad Rafiq Ganaie led the funeral prayers of Aadil Ahmad Bhat and Adnan Ahmad Lone in south Kashmir’s Pulwama.

While addressing a gathering there, Ganaie said: “The prevailing uncertainty in state and unrealistic approach of authorities is the basic cause of this human tragedy and it is the reason that youth are losing their precious lives.”

He said that instead of taking measures to resolve this long pending issue in its historical perspective, the authorities “want to impose their own verdict through the barrel of a gun”.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Rafiq Ganaie led funeral prayers in absentia at Malangpora Chowk in Pulwama for LeT militant commander Naveed Jatt and his associate who were killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Budgam district on Wednesday.
