Principal Secy H&ME visits DH B’la to sort out modalities of upcoming GMC

BARAMULLA: To review health facilities being provided to public at large and patient care in particular, Advisor to Governor, Vijay Kumar on Thursday visited health institutions of Pattan block and inspected all the sections of the hospitals.
He took stock of the investigative and diagnostic facilities being provided to the patients besides interacting with the patients and public delegations.
Kumar was accompanied by Principal Secretary to Government, Health and Medical Education (H&ME), Atul Dulloo, Director Helath Services Kashmir, Dr Kunzes Dolma, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, and Block Medical Officer Pattan Dr Masarat Iqbal, an official handout read.
Principal Secretary to Government, H&ME, Atul Dulloo extended his visit to District Hospital (DH) Baramulla who was accompanied by Director Health Services Kashmir, Incharge Principal GMC Baramulla, Dr Javaid, Chief Medical Officer Baramulla, Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, General Manager JKPCC (executing agency), Feroz Ahmad and Medical Superintendent DH Baramulla, Dr Masood.
Atul Dulloo took a round of the hospital during which he interacted with attendants and patients. During the visit, a meeting also was convened by the principal secretary wherein he was briefed about the modalities of upcoming Government Medical College at Baramulla and conveyed the present status of the same. He took round of the under construction Administrative Block of the upcoming GMC and directed the general manager of the executing agency to complete it within the stipulated time.
Atul Dulloo expressed his satisfaction over the facilities being provided to the common masses of the district and patients in particular.
Delegations including a delegation from Sopore also met the principal secretary to apprise him about the issues of public concern in order to upgrade latest diagnostic facilities in District Baramulla to ensure door step services in the district, the handout added.
