SRINAGAR: J&K High Court Bar Association has condemns the use of pellets against the protesters near a gunfight site in Chattergam area of Budgam where two militants were killed on Wednesday.

A Bar spokesperson in a statement said the incident has no parallels in the civilized societies and is contrary to Universal Declaration on Human Rights. “It offends the International Covenants guaranteeing the people the fundamental right to protest,” he said.

The spokesperson appealed the members of International Community to step in and take concrete measures in stopping forces in Kashmir from committing the gruesome acts.

The Bar Association also expresses its grief over the sad demise of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Wani, a prominent and a senior most Advocate of Baramulla, who passed away, on Wednesday morning at his residence.

While expressing its solidarity with the members of the bereaved family, the Bar Association prays to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and give courage to his family members to bear the loss.
