SRINAGAR: Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir on Monday paid tributes to the militants killed in a gunfight with government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
According to Muslims League spokesman, a high level delegation of Muslim League comprising of Sajad Ayoubi, Mohd Ashraf Sofi, Khan Abdul Rashid, Riyaz Ahmad and Mudasir Ahmad led by its general secretary, Mohammad Rafiq Ganaie visited Amshipora, Alyalpora, Matribugh, Chek Chelan, Shouch Kulgam and Balso Yaripora to participate in the last rites of the slain militants.
While addressing a gathering, Ganie said youths and scholars are sacrificing their lives for the sacred cause. “We have seen only the brutal face of India from last six decades and it cannot silence the voices of Kashmiris through use of force. The unprecedented sacrifices of Kashmiri people for the cause will not go waste,” he said.
He said the graph of incidents of human rights violations is alarmingly going up with every passing day in Kashmir. “It is high time for international community to pressurize India to stop killings in Kashmir.”
