SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (M) while paying tributes to the 18 people killed in last three days in Kashmir termed it as a “planned genocide” aimed at selective killing of people especially the young lot which deserves highest form of condemnation.
A Hurriyat (M) spokesman in a statement said that people of Kashmir especially youth are offering priceless sacrifices for the freedom struggle of Kashmir that has already thousands of sacrifices at its back. “It is high time that the people of Kashmir show unity and steadfastness to take the present ongoing struggle to its logical conclusion.”
The spokesman denounced the forces’ action on the protesters termed it ultimate highhandedness of powers under AFSPA. “The forces didn’t even spare the 20-month-old Hiba and snatched her vision by firing pellets at her eyes.” The spokesman urged world community to wake up and take strong note of the “repression being unleashed by the forces on Kashmiris”.
Meanwhile, on the directions of chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza visited Bijbehara and Kulgam areas.
Waza expressed solidarity with the families of youth killed and said: “The mission of martyrs will be taken to its logical conclusion.”
