Srinagar: Train services remained suspended for security reasons the third day on Saturday in south Kashmir after six militants were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Anantnag Friday morning.
The trains, however, were running normally in northern Kashmir.
The Train service was suspended on Thursday when Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) had called for a strike against the killing of senior separatist leader Hafizullah Mir by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday in Anantnag.
However, train service was resumed on Friday. But after few train runs, the service was again suspended in south Kashmir for security reasons following the killing of six militants in Anantnag.
