JKLF delegation visits slain Hurriyat leader’s residence

Srinagar: A JKLF delegation on Thursday visited slain Hurriyat leader, Mir Hafizullah’s residence Akingam Achabal and participated in a congregational prayers meeting there.

Mir was killed by unknown gunmen at his residence on Tuesday.

“Mir Hafiz-u-Allah was a wise, humble and dedicated person whose absence will be felt for long,” the JKLF delegation said in a statement.

JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Zonal President Noor Muhammad Kalwal, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) were part of the visiting JKLF delegation, the statement said. On the occasion, it said, JKLF delegation met with the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them.

JKLF delegation while paying tributes to the slain Mir said: “Mir sahib was a sensible voice, courageous and steadfast human being and a humble personality.”

Terming Mir’s killing as most appalling and most condemnable, JKLF delegation said that Mir was a prudent voice, a humble son of soil and resistance leader whose absence will be felt for long.

While praying for the heavenly abode of Mir, JKLF delegation also prayed for the Sabr-i-Jamil to the bereaved family.
