South Kashmir: Civilian abducted on Monday shot at, injured; admitted to Srinagar hospital

Srinagar: The civilian who was abducted by militants late Monday evening has been shot and injured, reports said on Tuesday.

The civilian was abducted fro Wanpora village of Shopian in south Kashmir last evening.

The abducted youth identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Wani a driver by profession was abducted around 7:30pm from his village in Wanpora Shopian.

Sources said that the civilian was released by the militants in injured condition as he was hit by a bullet in his leg.

The injured civilian has been rushed to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

Seven persons were abducted from last week and two of them killed by militants allegedly for tipping of government forces about militants. Of them, five were released.
