Srinagar: Muslim League (ML) Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday paid tributes to two Al-Badr militants.
The two Al-Badr militants Yawar Ahmed and Nawaz Ahmed were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Reban village in Zainpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
According to league spokesman, a high level delegation led by Muslim League General Secretary M Rafiq Ganie visited Batnoor Pulwama to participate in the funeral of Yawar Ahmad.
Ganie while addressing a gathering said: “Our youths and scholars laying their precious lives to resist forced occupation.”
“For the last 6 decades, we have lived a life of uncertainty, chaos and harassment, have only shouldered the coffins of our dear ones, seen only death and destruction around. This gloomy situation has forced our high qualified scholars and intellectuals to take the extreme step. They prefer to be a rebellion than to live a life of slavery,” Ganie said.
He said “these youths not laying their lives for material gains in fact sacrificing their bright careers to serve their nation with blood to end age old slavery.”
He said Jammu Kashmir will always remember and cherish these sacrifices.
“The graph of human rights violations is alarmingly going up with every passing day in Kashmir. It is high time for international community to pressurize India to stop bloodshed in Kashmir,” Ganie said.
He further said the way youth are fighting for right to self determination is highly commendable.
“No cruelties could weaken the resolve of people of Jammu and Kashmir who were sacrificing their everything,” he added.
