Srinagar: Two army soldiers were injured during an exchange of fire between militants and soldiers in Pulwama.

A senior police official told GNS that an ambush was laid by the joint team of army and SOG in Larve area in Kakapora. In the meantime, a group militants passed through the area resulting in an encounter in which two soldiers were wounded.

The duo has been removed to hospital for treatment and their condition is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, entire area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants he added.

Earlier, militants lobbed a UBGL grenade at Railway station Kakapora in Pulwama resulting in death of a CRPF soldier.
