Shabir Shah seriously ill in Tihar jail, reduced to skeleton: DFP

SRINAGAR: Due to serious ailments, the incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) chief Shabir Shah has turned into a skeleton in Tihar jail, a party spokesperson said on Friday. He made the revelation “after some close relatives of Shabir Shah met him in the jail and informed about his ailing health”.
Quoting the relatives of Shabir Shah who visited him, the spokesperson said: “Shabir Shah is seriously ill and he could hardly stand on his feet. They could not recognise him at first sight as he has changed into a skeleton due to drastic weight loss.”
The family of Shabir Shah and party members are seriously worried about the deteriorated health conditions of Shabir Shah and have appealed for prayers for the ailing leader, he said.
Shabir Shah has lost more than 18 kilograms wait and has gone pale; the spokesperson said adding that the relatives who had gone to meet Shah started crying on seeing his worsened condition.
The relatives informed the party that Shabir Shah has been suffering from serious life-threatening ailments and authorities are playing with his life by not providing him suitable treatment which is only possible in some reputed institution like AIIMS.
They said despite severe ill health, the morale of Shabir Shah is very high. The JKDFP said if its jailed leader is not provided immediate medical treatment, its members will hit the streets.
