Pulwama: The Government Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) celebrated Children’s Day at Dolphin International School in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday.
According to the statement, a message was communicated about the need to sensitise the people about child’s right to education.
CWC and DCPU, it said, has been playing a proactive role in rescuing the children who are either deprived of their rights or are forced to work.
A painting competition and speeches were part of the celebration.
The members of CWC and DCPU in presence of the Dolphin International School chairman and its Director, Broadcast Journalist Mir Nazir distributed prizes among the students, the statement said.
