North Kashmir: DY SP among 7 policemen injured in road mishap in Keran area of Kupwara

Srinagar: An officer among seven policemen have suffered injuries in a road accident in Keran area of northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday late evening, police said on Friday.

A police official said that a police vehicle in which a team of policemen was traveling turned turtle in Keran sector along the line of control on Thursday late evening resulting in injuries to seven policemen. The injured include a deputy superintendent of police who has been identified as Bodh Raj of IR-4th Bn.

The other injured policemen have been identified as constable Ratan Lal 439/IRP-4th, constable Majid Hussain 597/IRP-4th, constable Irshad Ahmad, a telecom operator 2863/PW, constable Sanjay 406/IRP-4th, constable Ramesh 789/IRP-4th, and constable Khursheed Ahmad 1173/KP.
