Children’s Day celebrated

BARAMULLA/RAMBAN: District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Baramulla Wednesday organised a function here at Dak Bungalow to celebrate the Children’s day.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Shekri who is also the chairman of the Authority, was the chief guest whereas Sub-Judge Khursheed ul Islam was the guest of honor at the event.

Inmates of Orphanage School Baramulla, teachers and parents participated in the programme.

In a message to the students, Shekri said that Jawahar Lal Nehru had a passion for children whom he loved and groomed as future of the country. He said that there is need to safeguard the rights of children besides urging parents to care their wards with love and affection.

Secretary DLSA Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi, in his address deliberated upon the main aim of celebrating the day and said that this day projects the rights of the children so that they are not being deprived of their privileges.

District Information Centre, Ramban celebrated Children’s Day at Paryas Hemkrish Model High School here with great splendour and grandeur.

The principal of school Surishta Kumari Attri was the chief guest on the occasion, whereas Chief Organiser, Nirvana Academy, Ramban, Tahir Mushtaq presided over the function besides staff members and students were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the school expressed gratitude to the Information Department for organizing a colourful and informative programme in her school.
