BARAMULLA: Traders Federation Baramulla on Wednesday, in a high-level meeting, expressed annoyance over the new power curtailment schedule issued by the power development department for Baramulla town in which people of the town and its nearby areas will have to face 10 to 13 hours power cuts every day.
President, Mohammad Ashraf Ganie, general secretary, Tariq Ahmad Magloo and all the executive members of the federation attended the meeting.
Tariq said they (members) decided that if the concerned department (PDD) does not change this new schedule, “people living in the area will not pay their monthly tariff”, adding that traders too have decided to stage protest and would block the highway.
