Three Inmates injured during clash in lockup

BARAMULLA: At least three inmates were injured when they clashed with each other inside police lockup in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district during yesterday night.
Sources said that a group of youths arrested on stone pelting charges were put behind the bars some time ago and are in police lockup; however on Monday morning three among them were found injured and were shifted to district hospital Baramulla where doctors discharged them after giving them first aid.
SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain Mir said that the some “stone pelters” who were locked up under proper remand from court fought with each other and got injured.
They were given proper medical aid in district hospital Baramulla and are stable, SSP added.
