Srinagar: The Muslim League (ML) Sunday expressed concern over the deteriorating health of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in jails and said they are subjected to “ill treatment”.
“M. Amin Dar, Ishtiyaq A Wani and shifting of ML district president Bandipra Assadullah Parray and Khursheed A parray from Baramulla jail is condemnable,” the spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi said in a statement.
He urged the administration to immediately release Assadullah Parray saying “because one of his daughters is suffering from skin cancer.”
“For the last five years, Assadullah Parray is languishing in jails without any reason. He is suffering from many chronic diseases which have affected his health baldly,” he said. “Parray has been made a victim of political revenge to create hardships for his daughters. His wife has died and there is no male member in his family to look after his daughters.”
The spokesperson urged the human rights organisations to take cognisance and play their role in releasing Asadullah Parray.
Ayoubi said M Amin Dar and Ishtiyaq A Wani languishing in Baramulla and Mattan jails are subjected to “ill-treated”.
