Srinagar: Kashmir University on Monday set up a “cell” in its examination wing to fight corruption.
An order issued by the varsity said the cell, which has been named ‘Campaign Against Corruption” will have Controller of Examinations as its chairman.
The chairman, it said, “shall receive any such complaint relating to examinations against any person/officer/ official working in or outside the University of Kashmir”.
It also said that the cell shall “provide a provision for instituting any complaints on the university portal exclusively meant for examination purposes for which only its chairman will have access”.
A separate email ID “to which the chairman shall have an exclusive access”, shall be made available to general public “more particularly to the students for registering their complaints “against any form of corruption”.
The chairman, according to the order, has been asked to constitute a committee with prior approval from the competent authority for further administrative follow up action as and when demanded by the nature of complaint.
