Parts of Pulwama shut for second consecutive day to mourn militant killings

Srinagar: Parts of Pulwama district in southern Kashmir on Sunday shut for the second consecutive day against the killing of two local Hizb militants Liyaqat Ahmad Wani and Wajid Ul Islam.

Witnesses said that all shops and business establishments remained shut while transport remained off the roads.

Mobile Internet services also continued to remain suspended on the second consecutive day in parts of Pulwama district.

Two local Hizb Ul Mujahideen militants were killed in a brief gunfight with government forces in Tikken village of Pulwama district on Saturday morning.
