Srinagar: Condemning the nocturnal raids and spree of arrests throughout Kashmir, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai Saturday said that “such tactics would lead to further deterioration of the already grim situation”.
“New Delhi must understand that Kashmir dispute will not be written off from the pages of history by using force to suppress the people’s voice,” Sehrai said in a statement.
“Slapping PSA on youth – Shahid Ahmed Tantray of KhujBagh Baramulla, Waseem Mehraj Farash Khan Pora Baramulla, Suhail Ahmed Sheikh Old Town Baramulla, Mohammadd Umar Dar Baramulla, Parveez Ahmed Shah Srigufwara, Ab Ahad Reshi Pahalgaam, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Mudasir Ahmed Dar Banderpora Bijbehara, Mohd Yaseen Bhat Sultanpora Bijbehara and Bilal Ahmed Lone Bevar Bijbehara and shifting them Hiranagar and Kathua jail is highly condemnable,” the TeH chief said.
Sehrai called for an end to rights violations in Kashmir.
“New Delhi should introspect and take concrete steps towards resolving the Kashmir dispute instead of using oppressive measures across Kashmir,” he said, adding that “the Government of India under a well-thought-out plan is pushing the youth towards the wall.”
Sehrai appealed to the world human rights organizations to take cognizance of rights violations in Kashmir.
Paying tributes to slain Pulwama and Tral militants, Sehrai hailed the spirits of people towards resistance movement.
