Srinagar: The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Saturday said that Kashmir dispute is “Himalayan fact” and New Delhi must shun its ignorance and accept the reality.

The party spokesperson in a statement said that “people of Jammu Kashmir are struggling for their genuine right ever since 1947 when the sub-continent was divided on two nation theory. Unfortunately, Kashmiri people are suffering at the hands of a country which claims to be the largest democracy”.

He added: “Kashmiri people have been taught by the leaders like incarcerated DFP chief Shabir Shah to remain steadfast and not to surrender their political rights before military might.”

“The stubbornness of New Delhi has resulted in the ongoing bloodshed and hardly any day passes in Kashmir without killings,” the spokesperson said.

The DFP, the statement reads, paid tributes to slain Tral and Pulwama militants and said: “It is our collective responsibility to take the mission of martyrs towards the logical conclusion.”
