Bandipora: A Bandipora resident, who had gone missing in the heavy snowfall on November 3, has been found dead in the forests, while another one is still untraced.
The duo, along with a group of people from Athwatoo village, had gone to the Kutha Pathri forests to “collect some medicinal plants”.
“As they were on their way the weather turned hostile as heavy snowfall started and they turned back. Among the group, five were successful in reaching back home safely but two went missing along with their horses,” a police official said adding that a search operation was launched by the police.
He said that the body of one of the missing persons has been found. He has been identified as Ghulam Qadir Bhat, son of Abdul Raheem Bhat, a resident of Wuhan Athwatoo. The horses of both the persons were recovered alive from the forests.
