ML concerned over ‘harassment’ of Kashmiri students

Srinagar: The Muslim League Thursday expressed concern over the alleged harassment faced by Kashmiri youth studying outside the state and said that “our youth are being targeted on every front”.

“Registering sedition charges against Kashmiri students and issuing show cause notices clearly exhibits imperialistic approach towards Kashmiri students,” the spokespersons Sajad Ayoubi said in a statement.

He alleged that “education institutions have been turned into torture centers for Kashmiri students outside State. They are suspected everywhere and harassed simply because of their Kashmiri origin.”

The statement said the Muslim League demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the assault on Kashmiri students.
