JRL holds protest against ‘human rights violations’

Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday held a peaceful protest here in this capital city against the human right violations in the Valley.

The protest led by Sheikh Abdul Rashid at Maisuma here was joined by dozens of pro-freedom activists and locals, eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader. The protesters were chanting “We want slogans,” “Stop human rights violations in Kashmir,”

“Today’s protest has been organised on the call of JRL over the unabated human rights violations by the government forces. The houses are being razed to ground,” Rashid said.

The pro-freedom leadership, he said will hold a massive protest on the International human rights day on December 10.
