Pak Army pays tribute to 1947 Jammu martyrs

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army on Tuesday took to Twitter to pay tribute to “the martyrs of November 6, 1947 and till date”.
Major General Asif Ghafoor, the director general of Army’s media wing Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR) tweeted: “Tribute to Kashmiri martyrs of 6 Nov 1947 & till date on KashmirMartyrsDay. Their great sacrifices shall accrue result IA. Continued atrocities by Indian Occupation forces can never suppress just political struggle for their legitimate right of self-determination.”
Hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were massacred by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, and communal extremists in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November in 1947.
Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) ‘President’ Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan and ‘Prime Minister’ Raja Farooq Haider Khan termed the first week of November “the bleakest chapter” of the Kashmir struggle.
