Srinagar: The militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and resistance party Muslim League on Tuesday paid tributes to two slain militants killed in an encounter with the government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The operational spokesman Hizb, Burhan-u-Din in a statement identified the two slain militants as Mohammad Idrees alias Abbas and Amir Hussain alias Abu Subhan.
He said Hizb deputy chief Saifullah Khalid and field operational commander Mohammad Bin Qasim also paid tributes to the slain militants and appealed “JAKLI ranks to join Hizb-ul-Mujahideen for carrying on freedom struggle to its logical conclusion”.
He said that “Idrees Ahmad was a torchbearer for the ranks of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen cadres”.
According to the Muslim League spokesman, a party delegation which includes Sajad Ayoubi, Manzoor Lelhari, Ab. Rashid, Hilal Ah. and Ab. Rashid Bhat led by party general secretary M. Rafiq Ganie visited Safanagri and Awneera Shopian where they expressed deep grief and extended condolences with the bereaved family of Idrees A Mir and Aamir Hussain Rather.
In a statement, he said, “These exemplary sacrifices make it mandatory for all of us to take this movement to its logical conclusion without making any compromise.”
The spokesperson blamed stubborn attitude of New Delhi for “bloodshed” and said that there is “war-like situation in the valley”.
While hailing the resilience and steadfastness of people, Ganie said that “voices of dissent are being crushed”.
According to the statement, Ganie also paid tributes Jammu martyrs.
