RAMBAN: District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat Tuesday held public outreach programme here at Batote and the aim this outreach drive is to bring the administration to the doorsteps of people.
He directed the Tehsildar Batote to identify the suitable land for the construction of newly sanctioned Degree College at Batote at the earliest.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the administration for sanctioning Degree College for Batote besides raising various demands and sought a solution to the problems being faced by them pertaining to improvement in power supply, drinking water, roads, education and alike.
He assured the locals that all their genuine issues would be resolved in a time-bound manner. He sought the cooperation of people in the better public delivery system besides maintaining peace and harmony in the town. He further directed the concerned officers to ensure that the issues of the people are addressed and resolved at the earliest.
Bhat said that the aim of public outreach drive is to bring the administration to the doorsteps. He also passed necessary directions to resolve problems regarding power supply, healthcare, sports activity, employment, water supply, and other basic facilities.
The DC also urged the youth to take benefits of self-employment schemes and assured them of full support from the district administration.
The locals extended their full cooperation to the administration in maintaining peace and communal harmony.
SSP Ramban, Anita Sharma, ADC Dr Basharat Hussain, Tehsildar Batote, Amit Manhas and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
