DHSK tours Budgam, monitors health facilities

SRINAGAR: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Kunzes Dolma had extensive tour of central Kashmir’s Budgam district to ascertain the patient care facilities. The tour started from Srinagar’s JLNM and Gousia Hospital.

An official statement issued here said Dr Kunzes visited institutions of block Charar-e-Sharief Chadoora, Budgam including District Hospital Budgam.

All the health facilities were functional and during the interaction with patients and attendants, it was observed that services were provided to the entire satisfaction of public, the statement said.

She took on-spot stock of various facilities at SDH Chara-e Sharief, CHC Pakherpora, SDH Chadoora. BMos and Medical Officers including specialists and paramedical staff were present. Every section of hospitals was functional and heating arrangements were in place, it said.

It added that in order to ensure other ER and emergency services, lightening arrangements had already been ensured as per the directions.

Dr Kunzes also visited DHSK Budgam in the evening hours where all the sections were found functional. The patients during the interaction conveyed satisfaction over the management of better patient care facilities, the statement said.

She also had extensive tour of block Nagam where the staff including Medical Officers and specialists were present.

On way back, DHSK also visited PHC Ompura which was functional and staff too was present as per the roster, the statement said.

The surprise visits conducted by DHSK were hailed by public at large and social activists in particular besides local community leaders. Dr Kunzes was accompanied by CMO Budgam Dr Nazir, BMO Charar-e-Sharief Dr Mustura and BMO Chadoora Dr Dildar.
