IGP Kashmir reviews security arrangements for forthcoming Panchayat polls

SRINAGAR: IGP Kashmir S P Pani on Saturday took a detailed review of security measures taken for forthcoming Panchayat elections and directed the officers to ensure that the elections are held in secure atmosphere.
IGP accompanied by DIG south Kashmir Amit Kumar on Saturday visited Police Station Litter, CRPF camp Tahab and DPO Pulwama in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. SP Pulwama Chandan Kohli (IPS) received IGP Kashmir and other senior officers.
Interacting with soldiers at Police Station Litter, IGP Kashmir heard the grievances of police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be taken up on priority with concerned authorities.
The interaction was also attended by CO 182 Bn CRPF Naveed Ahmad, Addl SP Pulwama Mohd Anwar-ul-Haq, DySP Hqrs Farooq Ahmad, SDPO Litter Gh. Hassan, DySP Kakapora Nawaz Ahmad and other officers of the district.
