Shutdown against militant killings continue in Pampore, Arizal

Srinagar: Shutdown continued for the third consecutive day today in Pampore town of Pulwama and Arizal area of Budgam district to mourn the killing of two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants killed in a gun-battle on Thursday.

Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that all shops, business establishments, schools and colleges remained closed today in Pampore town to mourn the killing of Lashkar militant Mohammad Amin Mir alias Abu Ismail. Despite heavy rains, scores of people visited Mir’s house at Drangbal locality to express sympathy with the bereaved family.

Amin was killed with government forces along with his associate Mukhtar Ahmad Khan.

Meanwhile, shutdown also continued in Arizal area of Budgam against the killing of the local militant Mukhtar Ahmad Khan in a gunfight in Zagoo village of the district on Thursday morning.
