Picture flaunting AK-47 surfaces on social media

PULWAMA: A Railways employee from Pulwama district, who had gone missing last month, has apparently joined militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as a picture of him flaunting an AK-47 rifle has surfaced on social media.
The picture of Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Laribal Kakapora area of Pulwama district, with a rifle in hand, has been doing rounds of social media, including Facebook and Whatsapp, since Thursday evening.
The text on the picture says that Mudasir has joined militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba and adopted the code name of Abu Zarr.
Sources told Kashmir Reader that Mudasir, a graduate, was posted in Jammu in Railways’ Telecom department. He had returned home last month and went missing from there, following which his family lodged a missing report in a police station Kakapora.
A senior police officer confirmed to Kashmir Reader that Mudasir has joined militant ranks.
