One month training programme for small poultry farmers held at SKUAST

SRINAGAR: A month long training programme for small poultry farmers is being organised by Division of LPM FVSc. & A.H. in collaboration with Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-K. The training programme is sponsored by ICAR- ATARI Ludhiana and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
The training programme was inaugurated at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry Shuhama Alusteng by Dean, FVSc. & A.H, Prof. Shakil Ahmad Wani. The Master trainer Dr. Raoof Ahmad Pattoo welcomed the dignitaries and the participants and gave the outline of training programme. Prof. M.T. Banday, Head Division of LPM stressed upon the importance of Poultry Sector in Entrepreneurship and Employment generation. Dean, FVSc. & A.H Prof Shakil Ahmad Wani in his inaugural address congratulated the Division of LPM for organising such a training programme. He advised the trainees to take maximum benefit of the training and urged them to upgrade their skills so that they could not only earn their own living from Poultry enterprises but provide employment to others as well. The training manual was also released by the Dean on the occasion.
