Srinagar: Terming the current situation in Kashmir as “serious and alarming”, the Kashmir National Front Thursday said that “the freedom sentiments of people cannot be crushed”.
In a statement, the spokesperson expressed concern over the killing spree and said that “unless New Delhi shuns its stubbornness, there can be no end to ongoing bloodshed”.
The youngsters (militants) by “sacrificing their lives only want to end the status quo and bring peace to the whole region by breaking the arrogance of New Delhi. These youngsters have opted for gun only after India rejected every means to recognise the political rights of the people,” he said.
The National Front spokesman further said that “New Delhi jailed resistance leaders to silent the voices of dissent.”
“If New Delhi is serious in peace and stability,” he said, “it must release all political prisoners including its chariman Nayeem Khan and take measures to resolve the dispute so that people living in the south Asian region can live peacefully.”
