Srinagar: The family members of a policeman turned militant on Thursday alleged government forces of vandalization of their house at Nazneenpora in southern Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Syed Naveed, a policeman turned militants is associated with militant outfit Hizb ul-Mujahideen. He fled away with four rifles while on duty in May 2017 and joined HM.

Syed Mushtaq, the father of Naveed alleged that government forces vandalized their house, damaged windowpanes, and other property. “Last night the forces barged into our house and damaged property including windowpanes, geysers, taps, and other kitchenware items,” Mushtaq told Kashmir Reader.

He alleged that this is the second attack on their house by government forces this week.

Earlier Mushtaq said that forces attacked their house on 28 October after militants attacked an army patrol at Poterwal, a neighboring village of Nazneenpora.
