Srinagar: The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehraie Wednesday paid tributes to the slain Tral militants saying “those sacrificing their precious lives are beacon lights of our cherished movement”.
Two militants- Showkat Ahamd Khan and Abu Usman – were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Tral area of Pulwama district on Tuesday.
“The Kashmiri’s will never budge from its stand and will carry their mission till its logical end,” TeH chairman said in a statement.
“The sacrifices rendered by these brave hearts are praiseworthy and exemplary,” the pro-freedom leader said. “They deserve our salute.”
Slamming the Government of India over the prevailing “political uncertainty and instability” in Jammu and Kashmir, Sehari said: “By using military might, New Delhi wants to supress the freedom sentiments of people.”
“Vandalizing properties, killing and brutalising people won’t force us into submission and brake our resolve,” Sehrai said.
The statement further said that Sehraie condemned the fresh wave of crackdown on youth in south Kashmir.
The TeH chairman also denounced the assault by forces on journalist – Aijaz Ahmad Dar that left him seriously injured.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of martyr Mohammad Yaseen Yatoo, Sehraie visited his home to condole to the sad demise of his grandmother, who passed away on Tuesday, the statement said.
