Kashmir: Mirwaiz, Malik drive to Geelani’s residence, hold meeting

Srinagar: The joint resistance leadership comprising of octogenarian Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik on Tuesday held a meeting at Geelani residence-cum-office in Hyderpora Srinagar.

Sources said that Mirwaiz and Malik reached the Geelani’s residence this morning, where the octogenarian leader is house detention since 2010.

They said the trio held a meeting and discussed the recent ivilian killings, harassment of people, arrests of pro-freedom leaders and youth. They said that the two leaders later also met Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairperson Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai at his office.

“Mirwaiz and Malik left Geelani’s residence after mid-day prayers,” they said.
