Farooq, Omar grieved over killing of PDP worker, police SI

SRINAGAR: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed profound grief over the “brutal” killing of a PDP activist in Pulwama and JK Police SI in Srinagar.
In a statement, Farooq and Omar while condemning the attack expressed solidarity with the families of slain PDP leader Mohammad Amin Dar and police sub inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir. Both leaders prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Senior NC leaders including party’s general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, party leaders and legislators also expressed profound grief over the killings and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Meanwhile, Nasir Aslam Wani visited the residence of late Dar at Gangbugh Srinagar and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He offered fateha and prayed for peace to the departed soul, the statement said.
