SRINAGAR: The ‘All Unions and Associations (AUAB) of BSNL’ has called on the employees to organise an ‘agitation programme’ from Monday followed by different trade union activities. The programme has been called in response to the “non-implementation of the assurances” given by Minister of State for Communication, Manoh Sinha regarding 3rd pay revision from January 2017, allotment of 4G spectrum to BSNL, payment of pension contribution on the actual basic pay, pension revision and settlement of superannuation benefits to the directly recruited employees.
The AUAB had met the minister on February 24.
In a statement issued here, the ‘deeply agitated’ BSNL employees have alleged that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) “has not taken any action for implementation of the assurances given by the minister till date, denying justice to 1.85 lakh working employees of BSNL and about 3.5 lakh retired employees of BSNL”.
