19 councilors administered oath in north Kashmir’s Baramulla

Srinagar: Nineteen councilors who won the recently concluded municipal elections in Baramulla on Tuesday took oath in the northern Kashmir district.

The function was held at Sharwani Hall, while as the oath to the winning candidates was administered by ADC Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba. Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Baramulla Wali Mohammad Wani and other officers were present on the occasion.

Besides independent candidates who emerged as winners in recently concluded four phased Urban Local Body (ULB) elections in Baramulla, many candidates both male and female affiliated with various political parties including BJP and Congress also took oath.

In the four phased ULB election in Baramulla town Congress won 12 seats, BJP 6 and 3 seats went to Independent candidates.
