Srinagar: The Muslim League Sunday condemned the arrest of party activists saying these measures are used to punish pro-freedom leaders and force them into submission.
A spokesperson in a statement the ML leaders – Bashir A Budgami, Mohammed Yousuf Bhat, Mohammed Yaseen Atayi have been arrested by the police and one more PSA was slapped on its vice chairman Mohammed Yousuf Mir and shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail.
“Mohammed Yousuf Mir was detained upon jail release,” he said.
Terming it as a “political vendetta”, the spokesperson said that arresting and slapping PSAs on resistance leaders and shifting them to outside jails is “highly undemocratic act” and deserves all forms of condemnation.
He said that such policies could not weaken the freedom sentiment of the people of Kashmir.
