Srinagar: The Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Sunday urged the administration to ensure that staffers are ferried to the hospital during law and order problem.
“Working in a turmoil like situation is always challenging and risky. In such cases reaching duty in private vehicle is no more than a danger to one’s life,” the statement said.
“DAK has always stressed for a contingency fund which should be duly approved in advance to ensure transport facility to the medical staff,” it said. “Government is not paying any heed to our demand which has led to the demoralisation of the workforce.”
The association also appealed people to ensure safe passage of hospital employees and ambulances ferrying patients and staff.
