Militants attack army patrol in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopian: Suspected militants on Sunday attacked an army patrol in a village of this south Kashmir district.

Militants opened fire upon an army patrol in Poterwal area of the district this afternoon, a police official told Kashmir Reader. The troops, he said repulsed the attack in which no one was hurt on the either side.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off government forces.

Today’s attack is fourth on the government forces in the district since Friday.
