Shopian: Twenty three civilians have suffered injuries in clashes with government forces during a cordon and search operation at Dreed-Kalipora (DK Pora) village in southern Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Doctors at Primary Health Centre (PHC) DK-pora told Kashmir Reader that 20 injured persons were brought to the hospital with pellet injuries among them three have been reffered to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Doctors at district hospital Shopian told Kashmir Reader that three persons with pellet injuries were brought to the hospital among whom two with pellet injuries were reffered to SMHS Srinagar.
Meanwhile witnesses said that the cordon in the village is still on, so are the door to door searches. They said that intense clashes between forces and protesters were going on.
