JKMSCL BoD meet
SRINAGAR: Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo Thursday asked the officials of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) to ensure availability of adequate quantity of medicine in hospitals so that the patients do not have to run from pillar to post and stressed on maintaining standards of medicines through prior testing.
Dullo, the chairman of JKMSCL was chairing the fourth board of directors meeting of the corporation here.
Asking the Finance Department to bring a better change in fund flow to the corporation, Dulloo said the Corporation holds greater significance in the health sector in the state.
He also reviewed the ware housing and storage capacity of the corporation in the State.
JKMSCL is a fully owned company of Government of J&K, established for procurement of drugs, medicines and medical equipment for the Department of Health and Medical Education and other Health institutions in the state.
During the meeting, Managing Director (MD), JKMSCL J&K gave the detailed presentation about the functioning of the Corporation. He provided the status report of the corporation upto September 2018 with regards to its achievements.
He also informed the meeting about various financial implications and issues faced by the corporation with regards to the infrastructure and human resource.
