New Delhi: High speed internet services were restored in southern Kashmir district of Pulwama and Shopian on Thursday after reaming suspended for over a month.
Reports said that on Thursday afternoon the mobile internet service providers lifted the cap on the internet speed and restored it to 4G.
Mobile internet was shut completely in the twin districts on September 23 after the militant threats to policemen went viral in the region.
However, low speed internet was restored in the district on October 2. Since then, reports said, the speed was restricted to 2G only.
“It was after more than a month today that authorities restored the high speed internet in the twin districts,” local residents said.
