Srinagar: The authorities on Wednesday snapped internet service after a gunfight broke out between government forces and militants in the outskirts of this capital city.

2G, 3G and 4G mobile internet service by all service providers, including the state run BSNL was snapped in the wee hours today in Srinagar and Budgam districts in wake of an encounter that erupted between militants and government forces in Nowgam area of the city outskirts.
